After what Alister said it makes one thing clear: This engine was used in loads of machines. From White, Oliver, MF tracotrs, but also in Pickups, Boats and Trucks. All togheter it's very clear: This must have been a good reliable engine with a affortable prize. And I know too that it all comes with it's prize, a expensive engine is most of the times the most reliable choice, but still.. If it's been used that much, it makes a point of itself. And the fact is that a CAT engine will not be the first to be the most efficiënt in fuel consumption or oil useage. But it's reliable and low in maintanance. Please explain to Renze and me whats wrong with this engine?

Ik weet het niet Jo, ben juist van school af en heb wel effe genoeg van al dat leren. :D maar dit denk ik ervan: groenbemester of green manure is een gewas dat men tussen de oogst door zaait om meer nutrienten (uit de diepere ondergrond) en humus (organisch materiaal) toe te voegen aan de grond alsook om de onkruiddruk te verminderen. heel vroeger (geschiedenis) werd dit gebruikt bij het "braak" leggen, rotatie, zodanig dat de grond kon herstellen. mosterdzaad en bladrammenas zijn hier goede voorbeelden van. bij een vanggewas of catchcrop gelden de vorige argumenten ook maar in het bijzonder ook dat je een gewas zaait om de eventuele uitspoeling van nitraten (stikstof zoals Sjoerd al aanhaalde) tegen te gaan. hier zie je vaak rogge en gras. zo doen wij het thuis ook trouwens. bij ons word dan het gras nog 1X gemaaid voor er mais op komt owv de [url=http://www.vlm.be/landtuinbouwers/mestbank/derogatie/Pages/default.aspx]Derogatie[/url] regeling maar da's weer wat anders. in dit geval ligt er nog veel organisch afval van de dorsmais (?). als er een gewas is ingezaaid (gras op de 1e foto ?) dan dient dit eerder om de erosie van nitraten en andere mineralen tegen te gaan dan wel om humus toe te voegen aan de grond. Sjoerd, het is 10 kuub, en de bemester zal inderdaad wel ergens rond de 5 meter hangen. natuurlijk kun je hem voor een 5 kuubs ook op de knieen krijgen als je maar ver genoeg opschakelt. ;) Toen deze man vor 15 jaar terug begon met zodebemester verhuur had hij een 5 kuubs BSA die hij per uur verhuurde: Toen hij m'n broer zag jagen met de C-385 A ervoor in 3 haas met een rookpluim, leek het hem toch beter om per kuub te gaan rekenen.. :-B 50pk was hij origineel maar er zit een 63mm pijp met absorptiedemper van een 7340 turbo op (iets makkelijker ademhalen, ik moest toch wat anders omdat de voorlader ertegenaan kwam) en de pomp anderhalve slag gegeven. Bij wegtrekken onder de 1000 toeren rookt hij wel iets maar als je eenmaal boven de 1300 toeren zit is het bijna niks meer. Hij trekt ongeveer even hard als de 6718 van mijn broer (maar die rookt harder want er zit een 40mm pijpje op, en hij is na 11.000 uur, een keer toe aan nieuwe zuigerveren) Als je ietsjes inspoort trekt hij gelijk al zwaarder, maar als het mooi droog is gaat het perfect. 6.5 a 7 kmh is ook weer niet zo woest hard he

En nu geloof ik er nog barre weinig van dat hij het trekt. Als ik onze 745 op zn knietjes krijg met onze combi (Peeters 4 meter achter een Duport/BSA 5000) krijg je deze combi met nog meer gemak op zn knietjes! (50 pk, voor een bemester van zo'n 5,20 is erg dapper, vooral met een 8 of 9 kuubs tank...)

I live north of London, Ontario, close to Exeter. I live a closer to London than to Stratford. De John Deere combines en Haksellar gebruiken dezelfe haken en pinnen om de bekken op te pakken, dat was makkelijk. De kolvenplukker wordt normaal van 2 kanten aangedreven, maar een JD hakselaar heeft het alleen maar aan de linker kant. de 2 kanten zijn met een speciale koppenling aan elkaar verbonden in de bek. De hydroliek slangen en de light snoer zijn ook vervangen. De bek kan makkelijk weer op een combine worden aangesloten. Cobmeal is a little different from high moisture grain corn. Grain corn will only be the kernels, but cobmeal also has the cob and husks and the ocasional plant in it. It has some extra material in it that give it some fibre and it takes more space to store. Because we already own the harvester, it makes more sense to do it this way, than to hire a contractor to combine our corn and then grind it afterwards. The harvester grinds the kernals immediately and makes the process very simple. This is my first child. First grandchild and great-grandchild on my wife's side. Lots of excitement!

Because the contractor keeps nagging about our narrow farmyard, we hire the injector from a farmer in town. With the nimble Zetor and slightly less wide tank, I can back it up to the muck pit in one effort, where the contractors Magnum and 10m3 Schuitemaker (on 1050 tires) has to take 4 or 5 tries to back into a 4 meter wide laneway between two old pig barns. (truck drivers with a semitrailer back in there without complaining ! ) Just the farmer who rents this tank, just traded his 7.5m3 tank for a 10m3 tank: The 5245 managed it surprisingly well, though you do notice it on the rpm needle when you drive over a mole heap :-P To the field at distance, it takes about 1km to get to 35km/h top speed. Its still a lot quicker than driving twice with a 5m3 tanker though ! In the field it handles it o.k. in 2nd gear at about 7km/h Photos by Jarno (who worked for my brother last summer)

No, by using the combine you will only get the seeds. The centre and the flyleaves will get out on the back of the combine. By using a forage harvester, the centre and flyleaves will get chipped either. The result will be silage with of high quality, but not as high as CCM (combined maize). The cobmeal has more "structure" in it than CCM, because of the centre and leaves, but not as much as "normal" maize silage. (OK, this is what they told me at school)

I assume the result is the same as when you use a combine to harvest corn that you then process and store like silage. This looks simplier so why don't everybody do like this? Thanks Robin. I don´t really understand what you mean though, the only one with a pu hitch fitted was the wide 7810 ;) And also, only one tractor with (what seems to be) big trouble in the workshop, that 7710. The 7810 of Terpac was getting serviced and and kinds of small stuff repaired. It was quite unique that there where 3 7010 series on the yard though. BTW, why do the Flevoland boys go to the mainland with their tractors? It´s not like Schipper is cheap.

Hi guys. Thanks for the positive comments TC, 4C, Bert and 4cjm. 4cjm- We start planting again as soon as possible. Like to have the wheat in the ground by the end of April and barley in by mid May.Hopefully the only crops we have left to sow in the spring is peas. Some of the grain bags from last season have not been very successful ie, rats, possums, cattle, wet ground and poor site selection.

there was a problem... in march 1 i saw that right tire was flat so i take it out to garage, and saw thing, like bolt in front of right fuel tank, so i takes him out, whae i washed everything out i saw that there is 2 problems first bolt was getting out and second that metal block that was holding hidro cilinder was broken

De beurs was leuk en door de nieuwe locatie iets overzichtelijker. Spijtig genoeg voor mij was Henry Walker en Baerny er niet. D'r stonden een aantal leuke diorama's

He is a pretty good operator 4C, he does a good job of all his crops. He had a good crop with me this year as well.

Ach so, bedankt. Ik neem aan dat je de kettingaandrijving ook hebt omgedraaid? Wij hebben eenzelfde machine maar dan van PZ. Alleen daarvan heb ik de ketting er gewoon af gegooid. Ben wel benieuwd of het veel beter is.

These cab manufacturars had dificult times when all brands started to build their own cab and factoryfitted so this might be a desperate try to get some other markets/brands to buy their cabs.

Pretty sure the 7930 was pulling the 18 ton Veenhuis Don't have a picture of it. The 8120 was packing. De 7930 trok waarschijnlijk de 18 ton veenhuis. 8120 op de bult. Heb er alleen geen fotos van dit jaar.

thanks for the link MJ, there are some serious looking trucks there, never seen a 10*4 or 10*6 or 10*8 before. you have heard right, those NH15's where true beasts, pulling our c train setup with a full load off wheat it was pretty rare it couldnt pull it at 90kph, also, they where a well made truck and i never remember having any trouble with them, except for a cheap clamp on the main air line, that caused problems when it blew the airlines off at traffic lights and was stuck there for a couple of hours.

Dit zijn een paar fotos van wat wij cobmeal noemen. We hebben een combine maisbek op de hakselaar en hakselen alleen de kolven. Dit is krachtvoer dat we zelf verbouwen en gemakkelijk kunnen verwerken met de hakselaar die we al hebben. De hakselaar is een 2007 JD 7200 met een 693 bek. De hakselaar heeft een recutter screen achter de hakselkooi.
