Whoops. Looks like the email bounced. Can you email me a copy of the photo and I'll try uploading it as a test to see if that doesn't show me something.. farmphoto @ farmphoto.com

Re: FP RSS
Got your messages Alister. No problem. I have looked around some logs a bit and it looks like the problem is that your upload is timing out for some reason. It could be that I don't have a long enough timeout on this new server (I'm not sure what I have currently - probably 60 or 90 seconds). One thing that might be worth trying is resizing your photo to smaller dimensions and /or increasing the jpeg compression setting a bit.

Re: FP RSS
I bet this is the error u r seeing? Just got it myself...

Bottom line here is that my server probably can't handle too many uploads at once and when loaded somebody always ends up getting rejected! It's worse if you have a slow connection as well.

First thing to do is to make sure you optimize the photo you are uploading at your end. Hold on a second while I hunt around for some instructions & pointers...

Re: FP RSS
First you should get an idea of how big your image is natively. The easiest way to do this is to look at the file in WIndows Explorer (assuming you are using WIndows!). If this information is not immediately evident right click on the file and select 'properties'. Otherwise you can look at it in some photo viewing (and hopefully editing) software. Most likely something came with your camera. Otherwise there are plenty of free options out there as well.

If your file size is more than about 200kB then you'd be advised to go ahead and resize it yourself.

Check out these threads for ideas - here & here & here

ALSO: another option is to use an online resizer:
http://www.shrinkpictures.com/
http://www.resize2mail.com/
(I haven't tried these and they may have the same problem as my server but hopefully not)

Re: FP RSS
:-? gday Stu how do you delete a geo map marker when its in the wrong place first time I tryed I dropped in south america and can't see how to get rid of it

Re: FP RSS
@alister: I don't think I coded any way of actually deleting a geocode after it was entered. I'll have to put that on the list. You can change it simply by clicking on "Geocode" and then dragging the marker around with your mouse. In theory you can also just type in the coordinates also...

Does that work for you?

Hi Alister. Do you see these using the Chrome browser? Are the warnings from Google (like the above)? I have seen these and it's pretty annoying. But short of banning people from linking to external images I'm not too sure what can be done about it. I don't think there is any risk. As far as I know viewing a jpeg can't infect you with anything. It's just a scary warning which would be very off-putting for anyone who didn't understand what was going on.... X(
